The SunSport man of the match tonight was Yannick Ferriera Carrasco.
He was excellent all night with his pace and trickery proving impossible to deal with, especially for Lucas Vazquez in the first half.
Vinicius JR was excellent when he came on, as was Luka Modric. It is incredible how the latter continues to perform at 37-years-old, a proper Rolls-Royce midfielder.
Still work to do
Whilst Real Madrid have the title in the bag, and will be focused on the Champions League final, Atletico still have a lot of work to do…
They have tough league fixtures still to come against third placed Sevilla, and sixth placed Real Sociedad.
You would imagine that they would have to win both of these if they are going to be competing in next years Champions League.
