LIVERPOOL star Arthur Melo is set to be out for “three to four months” after picking up an injury in training.
The Brazilian has made just one senior appearance for the Reds since joining on loan from Juventus.
Ahead of Sunday’s clash with Arsenal, Anfield boss Jurgen Klopp said: “We have one new injury, it’s Arthur Melo.
“In the last session before the Rangers game, in a normal situation he just injured a muscle.
“We have to wait for further assessment to know exactly how long it will be but he’s out.”
According to The Athletic, Arthur will undergo surgery this weekend that will take him out of action until 2023.
