ARSENAL are reportedly interested in signing Cagliari striker Giovanni Simeone.

The Gunners are also said to have entered the race to sign Raphinha from Leeds, according to reports.

Barcelona are also rumoured to be interested but more recent reports suggest they have turned their attention to Bernardo Silva.

Arsenal have also received a major boost in their pursuit of Gabriel Jesus this summer.

Manchester City’s initial asking price was a reported £55 million, but the Premier League winners have lowered their asking price to £45m.

  • Milinkovic-Savic a shock target

Arsenal are reportedly interested in a £42million deal for Lazio star Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.

Corriere dello Sport claims the midfielder has emerged as a target for Mikel Arteta, who wants a new No8 this summer.

Leicester’s Youri Tielemans is thought to be the Gunners boss’ preferred option.

But it’s reckoned that Granit Xhaka is once again attracting interest from Jose Mourinho’s Roma.

And Arsenal may end up needing two new top midfielders.

Milinkovic-Savic has scored 58 goals in 294 games for Lazio, having joined from Genk in 2015.

  • Arsenal target Bowen

The Gunners have reportedly opened negotiations with the representative of Jarrod Bowen, according to reports.

The Beautiful Game podcast claims Arsenal have made contact regarding the signing of the West Ham forward – who was in sublime form for the Hammers this season.

Bowen earned himself an England call up following a brilliant campaign where he scored 18 goals and made 13 assists in all competitions.

The report says that Bowen’s name is on a list of attacking targets that also includes Leeds star Raphina.

  • Fulham in Leno talks

Fulham are reportedly in talks to sign Arsenal keeper Bernd Leno.

The Cottagers are exploring a number of options, but Leno is the preferred target, according to The Athletic.

And they may be in luck as Leno wants to remain in London, the report adds.

But Fulham are yet to place a bid for the keeper, it was also stated.

  • Nketiah edging closer to Arsenal deal

Eddie Nketiah is edging closer to signing a new deal with Arsenal.

That’s according to transfer specialist Charles Watts.

He said on his YouTube channel: “But even yesterday I was talking to someone at the club and…the signs are that they’re going pretty well.

“And they do think Eddie Nketiah will commit his future to the Arsenal.”

  • Forest ‘plot Maitland-Niles transfer’

Nottingham Forest are considering a swoop for Arsenal star Ainsley Maitland-Niles.

The Mirror states that newly-promoted Nottingham Forest are plotting a swoop.

This fresh report states that they have already contacted Arsenal with regards to a possible transfer.

Maitland-Niles only has 12 months remaining on his Gunners contract and, after being deemed surplus to requirements by Mikel Arteta, they will likely be keen to cash in rather than lose him for nothing next year.

  • Suspect arrested for Willian threats

Police in Brazil have arrested a man after former Arsenal and Chelsea star Willian was sent chilling death threats.

Willian received heinous messages threatening him with bullets and knives online.

This caused the Corinthians winger to get the police involved as he feared his wife and two young daughters would also be targeted, the Mirror reported.

And now the Barra Funda Strategic Special Operations division have revealed they’ve detained a 21-year-old man.

The perpetrator will be charged for the offence despite claiming he never expected the threats to be taken seriously, the report added.

  • Arsenal given transfer tip

Arsenal have been urged to make a swoop for Manchester United target Christopher Nkunku by Darren Bent.

Bent told talkSPORT: “And Christopher Nkunku. [He would cost] a lot. There’s talk about him going back to Paris Saint-Germain.

‘”But I’d love him. I think he fits the bill, he can play centre-forward, he can play off the left, he can play off the right.”

  • City want to keep Jesus

Man City want Gabriel Jesus to pen a new contract, according to reports.

According to 90min, Pep Guardiola’s side feel that they have offered Jesus a “very good deal” in a bid to entice him to stay.

Guardiola values the forward highly, having started him in both legs of City’s Champions League semi-final against Real Madrid.

  • Why Jesus should join Chelsea

Gabriel Jesus should move to Chelsea as he’ll be supported by rookies Bukayo Saka and Emile Smith-Rowe at Arsenal.

That’s according to Stan Collymore who also questioned whether the Gunners duo will be at the club in two year’s time.

He said to the Mirror: “At Arsenal, with the support cast they have, which is still two rookies in Emile Smith Rowe and Bukayo Saka — and we don’t know for sure that they will still be wearing Gunners shirts in two years’ time, with Saka being linked with Liverpool and City.

“If I was Jesus I would be thinking of myself in the blue shirt at Stamford Bridge.”

  • Jesus tipped for Chelsea transfer

Gabriel Jesus could fill the void at Chelsea left by Romelu Lukaku who is tipped to leave the Blues this summer.

That’s the opinion of Stan Collymore who reckons Jesus can provide the goals Lukaku failed to at Stamford Bridge.

Collymore told The Mirror: “But if he goes to Chelsea he could be the player Romelu Lukaku was promised to be but wasn’t.

“At Chelsea, they create loads of chances, they will stick the ball in the box and Jesus can be the fox in the box I’ve so often said they need.

“If Jesus just concentrated on doing some really good work in the box, he could be that man.”

  • Arteta’s managerial ability worries

Mikel Arteta may be unable to extract the best out of Jesus if he moves to Arsenal.

That’s the view of Stan Collymore who told The Mirror: “But let’s say Arsenal get him, my general worry and concern about Arsenal, as ever, is could we trust Mikel Arteta to get the best out of Jesus?

“Could he be the manager who makes him fulfill his potential, if Pep Guardiola couldn’t? I don’t think so.”

  • Chelsea interest in Gabriel Jesus

Arsenal may have to fend off interest from Chelsea to sign Gabriel Jesus from Man City.

That’s the view of Stan Collymore who reckons the Blues could enter the race for the Brazilian.

Collymore told the Mirror: “I don’t think anyone can say Jesus has filled the boots of Sergio Aguero but his goals-to-games ratio has been very good and, when he has been asked to step up, he has done.

“There are rumours of Chelsea sniffing around as well and I don’t think Arsenal will be the only club in the race for him this summer.”

  • Trossard tipped for Brighton exit

Leandro Trossard has been tipped to leave Brighton for a bigger club this summer by Paul Merson.

Merson said to Sportskeeda: “With the talent Trossard’s got, it wouldn’t surprise me if he played a role for the national team at the 2022 FIFA World Cup, so teams interested in him should probably look to snap him up this summer before his value soares.

“There are a couple of other players I could have picked from Brighton because they are a really good football-playing side, but I just like the way Trossard plays and have always felt that he’s a bit underrated.

“No disrespect to Brighton, but he can go higher and easily turn out for one of the top teams in the Premier League.”

  • Arteta’s anger with board

Mikel Arteta is reportedly becoming frustrated by Arsenal’s dithering in the transfer market.

The Gunners are yet to land anybody from their extensive list of transfer targets that includes Man City striker Gabriel Jesus.

And this has incensed Arteta who isn’t happy that all deals have to be stamped by club owners Josh or Stan Kroenke, according to the Daily Mail.

Arteta fears this lengthy process could impede Arsenal’s hopes of signing Jesus and other targets, the report adds.

  • Arsenal chase Sergej Milinkovic-Savic

Sergej Milinkovic-Savic is the latest midfielder reportedly on Arsenal’s wishlist.

The Gunners are considering tabling a £42million to sign the Serbian international, according to Corriere dello Sport.

And the North Londoners are willing to increase the offer to entice Lazio into selling him, the report adds.

  • Good morning Arsenal fans

Cagliari striker Giovanni Simeone is a summer target for the Gunners, according to Tutto Mercato Web.
It’s claimed Arsenal and Juventus could battle it out for Simeone’s signature after he scored 17 league goals while on loan at Hellas Verona last season.
Verona are expected to trigger their option to buy the 26-year-old, before selling him on for around £17m.
Elsewhere, England boss Gareth Southgate has claimed Bukayo Saka would make the perfect son-in-law.
The Three Lions manager has heaped praise on the Gunners starlet, saying: “He’s a fabulous kid.
“If your daughter brings Bukayo home, you’d be more than happy!”
And finally Arsenal are the latest club to be considering a bid for Leeds United ace Raphinha, according to The Telegraph.
The Brazilian is widely expected to depart Elland Road this summer.
Barcelona had been considered favourites to land the forward, but their financial constraints may make it difficult to finalise a deal – and now the Gunners are hoping to take advantage.
The Londoners will make an attractive offer for Raphinha, supplemented by the sale of record signing Nicolas Pepe.

  • Southgate: Saka the perfect son-in-law

Gareth Southgate reckons Bukayo Saka would make the perfect son-in-law, writes CHARLIE WYETT.

Arsenal star Saka, 20, was subjected to vile abuse after missing from the penalty spot in the Euro 2020 final against Italy.

But he is a popular character within the England squad.

And Southgate was full of praise for the Gunners talent, saying: “He’s a fabulous kid.

“If your daughter brings Bukayo home, you’d be more than happy!

“His family have been brilliant with him. Here, he felt the love of the players and staff immediately after the Euros.

“That will have helped, in the immediate aftermath for him. He’s a fantastic talent.”

  • Elba eyeing two signings

Idris Elba wants Arsenal to sign a new striker and midfielder this summer.

Boss Mikel Arteta is expected to dip into the transfer window ahead of a return to European football next season.

And when asked who Elba would sign, he told Sky Sports: “I’m not the guy to answer that if I’m really honest.

“But I would say that if I could pick where I wanted to strengthen I would put some legs up front for sure.

“And I would certainly bolster in the midfield for some creative play.”

  • Idris Elba: “I am Arteta in”

Actor Idris Elba reckons Arsenal will be successful under Mikel Arteta.

The Gunners blew fourth-place in the table to rivals Tottenham after losing two out of their final three games of the season.

But Elba is confident the club are on the right track under the Spaniard.

He told Sky Sports: “Listen I am Arteta in. I trust the process. All processes have kinks, they’re going to have things that fall over.

“But in this case I think our team is getting stronger. It is a young team and the thing about youth is you pick them up, they get back up and they learn from it.

“There’s nothing worse than a team that doesn’t learn from its mistakes and I’m hoping next season they come back with a lot of confidence.”

  • Arsenal biggest ever transfers

Gabriel Jesus continues to be linked with a switch to Arsenal, and reports suggest any move would be around the £45million mark.

That would make the Brazilian striker Arsenal’s joint-fifth most expensive signing of all time, tying the sum paid for Thomas Partey.

But it’s still almost £30m less than the whopping £72m shelled out on flop winger Nicolas Pepe, who could leave the club in a cut-price deal this summer.

  • Morata Prem move off the cards

Juventus striker Alvaro Morata will NOT be moving to the Premier League this summer, according to reports.

The 29-year-old former Chelsea frontman has been linked with both Arsenal and Newcastle in recent weeks.

But, according to GOAL, a Prem switch is not an option.

Morata will either head back to parent club Atletico Madrid next season, or continue at Juventus.

The Spaniard has spent the last two seasons on loan at Juve.

Yet another loan switch has been mooted, with Juve reluctant to pay the £30million Atletico want to sell Morata permanently.

  • Gunners in for Leandro Trossard

Reports in Belgium claim Arsenal are keen on signing Brighton star Leandro Trossard.

The 24-year-old scored eight Premier League goals for the Seagulls last season.

And according to Voetbal, his form has attracted the attention of the Gunners.

Trossard, capped 17 times by Belgium, has spent the last three years on the South Coast after signing from Genk in 2019.

  • Bent names three dream signings

Former Aston Villa striker Darren Bent wants the Gunners to make three statement signings this summer.

He said on talkSPORT: “I’m led to believe it’s quite close [a move for] Gabriel Jesus. I’d like to see him go to Arsenal. I think he would be brilliant.”

Bent then added: “I’d love to see Yves Bissouma from Brighton. I think he’s top-drawer.”

“I love Thomas Partey but again he’s had his injuries and consistency has been a problem. But he’s durable Yves Bissouma so I think I would like to see him through the door.

“And Christian Nkunku from RB Leipzig.”

  • Arsenal eyeing Giovanni Simeone

The Gunners are keen to add a striker to their ranks this summer, and have been heavily linked with Manchester City star Gabriel Jesus.

But the Brazilian forward isn’t the only name on Mikel Arteta’s shortlist.

Cagliari striker Giovanni Simeone is also a target, according to Tutto Mercato Web.

It’s claimed the Gunners and Juventus could battle it out for Simeone’s signature, after he scored 17 league goals while on loan at Hellas Verona.

Verona have an option to buy the 26-year-old, which they are expected to trigger, before immediately selling him for a hefty profit.

Reports claim the Argentinian forward would cost around £17million.

  • Lopes key in Laca switch

Alexandre Lacazette has revealed Lyon star Anthony Lopes has been begging him non-stop to re-join the club for the last SIX MONTHS.

Frenchman Lacazette has officially signed for Lyon on a free transfer after leaving Arsenal.

And nobody will be more delighted than goalkeeper Lopes.

Lacazette said at his unveiling: “There have been a lot of changes since I left.

“The club is progressing well. Antho (Lopes), he has been writing to me every week for six months to find out if I have made my decision.”
