ARSENAL fans woke up on Saturday morning looking forward to a mouthwatering Premier League clash against Manchester United.
But when they checked their phones, they would have seen a text message from the club with an unusual request.

The club pleaded with fans to get to the Emirates with plenty of time to spare in order to avoid queues and help create a special atmosphere in north London.
The message read: “Please arrive early for today’s game to avoid queues. Get here early, get behind the team and raise the roof #COYG.”
While the text itself wasn’t particularly untoward in the wording, fans were left confused due to the club rarely ever contacting them with messages before a game.
