FABIO VIEIRA is set to feature as Arsenal under-21s take on Swansea tonight.
The summer signing, 22, has been out of action since the start of pre-season after sustaining a foot injury.
But he has been involved in training since the end of July and a comeback appears to be on the horizon.
Wednesday’s match against Swansea under-23s provides the Portuguese with an opportunity to get some much needed minutes under his belt as he completes his injury recovery.
Emile Smith Rowe and Cedric Soares will also play a role against the Swans with the former looking to build his match sharpness.
Smith Rowe played six minutes as a late substitute in the 4-2 win over Leicester after missing Arsenal’s Premier League opener at Crystal Palace with a groin problem.

The England international returned to full training last week while Cedric, who was left out of the matchday squad against the Foxes, also needs to build his match fitness.
The right-back has helped his compatriot Vieira settle in North London and he has backed the £34million star to be a hit at The Emirates.
Cedric said: “He has a similar mentality to me, which is great to see.
“I’m helping him to settle. Fabio is a very intelligent player from what I saw in Portugal.

“I never played with him but from what I saw, analysing games and watching his performances, he had a really good season.
“He has fantastic quality. He is a technical player with quality and ability. He has a lot of vision for the last pass as well.
“When you are not physically the strongest, you need to be smart in the Premier League. I am sure he will adapt very well, I have no doubt.
“Of course, he is very young still, so I am sure he will grow. What will be intense for him is maybe the rhythm of the league, it will be much quicker than the rhythm of the league in Portugal.”
