This afternoon’s match will be the first time Dallas has missed a Premier League game since Leeds were promoted two seasons ago.
And today’s opponents Arsenal left a touching message for the Northern Ireland international in the match programme.
With Dallas facing a lengthy spell out of action, the Gunners wrote: “Get well soon Stuart.”
Before adding: “Everyone at Arsenal wishes Stuart a successful recovery from what is a very serious injury, and we hope to see him in action again next season.”
Meanwhile all 3,000 of Leeds’ travelling fans found a “Dallas 15” shirt on their seat as they arrived at the Emirates.
Leeds left the tops in the away end as a tribute to the Northern Irishman, with a picture of him on the front and the message “there’s only one Stuart Dallas”.
The shirts were also worn by Jesse Marsch’s players during their warm-up for the game.
Leeds boss Marsch confirmed Dallas’ surgery had been a success, and the much-loved star is expected to make a full recovery.
