BAYERN MUNICH star Alphonso Davies was sent to hospital after taking a boot to the face from England star Jude Bellingham.
Davies and Bellingham clashed in Saturday’s dramatic Der Klassiker between Bayern and Borussia Dortmund at the Signal Iduna Park.
The incident took place in the closing stages of the first half when the full-back tried to head the ball away and the England international caught him with an inadvertent kick in the face.
Davies fell to the ground and required medical treatment by the Bayern physios.
Bellingham was lucky to remain on the pitch as he was already on a yellow card for an earlier challenge on former England youth team-mate Jamal Musiala.
The Canada international couldn’t continue and was immediately taken to hospital to check for a suspected concussion.

The outcome of his hospital visit is not yet confirmed but the 21-year-old sent a message to his fans after the derby and appeared to be in good spirits.
Davies issued the following statement on Instagram: “I just want to say thank you everyone for the nice messages and I’m looking forward to being back on the pitch soon. Thank you.”
Bellingham played the full 90 minutes and helped Dortmund snatch a last-gasp 2-2 draw.
The midfielder took to Twitter after the game and apologised to Davies for the challenge.
