Ronaldo was an unused sub and made unwanted headlines after storming down the tunnel before the match had ended.

And it left supporters fuming and hitting out at the United legend, whose future remains up in the air.

One said: “Ronaldo is a disgrace. 37 years of age and storming off like a petulant child.”

Another said: “Petulant child lol. The way Ronaldo always makes it about himself is comical at best.

“The world can’t continue to revolve around you.”

Another added: “Terminate Ronaldo’s contract. Walking down the tunnel before the game is over. Embarrassing.

“If he played today we scrape a draw at best.”

Ronaldo lost his place after United’s 0-0 draw with Newcastle on the weekend, with Marcus Rashford replacing him up front.

And his tantrum is unlikely to have helped his cause, with Ten Hag vowing to deal with the unhappy superstar.

He told Amazon Prime: “I was there, I did see him but I haven’t spoke to him.

“I will deal with that tomorrow, we are celebrating this victory and now we have to recover from this on Saturday against Chelsea, another big game and that’s what makes the Premier League so exciting.”
