LEWIS HAMILTON has confirmed he will be a producer on Brad Pitt’s new F1 movie.
The film, which is yet to have a title, will be directed by Joseph Kosinski, the man behind current box office hit Top Gun: Maverick.

Brad Pitt is also helping to develop the story for the film Credit: Getty Hamilton, who has also just been made an honorary citizen of Brazil, says he will be writing the script and has “no plans” to star in the movie.
He said: “I can’t really say too much about it because I don’t know if it’s been properly announced yet.
“But it’s something we are working on in the background; a super exciting project and a long-time in the waiting.
“It’s a really cool project and we’re already working on the script. I’m very much involved in the script, which is fun, and spending good time with Brad, which is pretty epic.

F1 in advanced talks to add South African GP to calendar next season “My responsibility and something that I take on is making sure the cast and the crew in the background is diverse.
“If you look at all the racing movies, you can’t necessarily say that they’ve all been spectacular and that’s something we want to change.
“It’s about showing how great this sport really is but also to make sure we keep the heritage and the true racing spirit within the movie and the script, that’s really my role.”
One suggestion is that Pitt plays a veteran racing driver who is persuaded to come out of retirement to mentor a young driver.

The Senna documentary and Ron Howard’s 2013 movie Rush, on the rivalry between James Hunt and Niki Lauda, were both hits.
However, Sylvester Stallone’s 2001 movie Driven was a massive flop due to unrealistic scenes.
