THE Silverstone media centre had to be evacuated after a fire alarm went off just before practice for the British Grand Prix.
The first practice is due to get underway at 12.30pm.

The alarm warned there was “a fire detected in the building”although initial reports are that it could have been a false alarm.
It comes as Northants Police issued a notice that a group of protestors are planning to disrupt the GP and possibly invade the track.
However, there is no suggestion that any protesters were involved with the fire alarm.
