Watch Tyson Fury hint at game plan for Dillian Whyte fight in open workout while dad John rips into his ‘average’ body

TYSON FURY dropped a huge hint of how he could box Dillian Whyte on Saturday during his open workout session.

The 33-year-old star, who defends his WBC heavyweight title against his British compatriot at Wembley, boxed southpaw for the entire session on Tuesday.

Known to be ambidextrous, the Gypsy King usually fights orthodox during his bouts, while switching to the left-handed stance sporadically throughout.

But he stayed in the southpaw position during his pads workout with trainer SugarHill Steward.

Commenting on the footage which was shared by BT Sport Boxing, his dad John refused to give away the game plan.

Asked whether that is a sign he will box Whyte southpaw, he remarked: “I can’t give too much away there.

Following his open workout, Fury lifted the lid on his decision to train southpaw for the entire session.

He stated: “We all know I’m ambidextrous and can punch with both hands.

“I’ve had knockout wins with my right and my left so I’m just sharpening it all up and ready to rock and roll.

“That’s what we’re aiming for, it’s what Sugar delivers, it’s that knockout style.

“I was watching the greats yesterday, getting inspiration from George Foreman, Larry Holmes and Joe Frazier.

“It’s been a great camp, we’ve always had good fun in it and we’re looking forward to a good, hard fight and if it’s anything less we’re in for an early night – straight to the bar I think.”
