Tommy Fury repeatedly booed during Floyd Mayweather undercard fight and savaged by honorary commentator Jake Paul

TOMMY FURY was repeatedly booed during his fight on Floyd Mayweather’s undercard – while being savaged on commentary by Jake Paul.

The former Love Island star was one of the warm-up acts before the big headline fight in Dubai.

But he faced a late opponent switch as the boxer he was originally supposed to take on, Paul Bamba, refused to accept the bout.

His change of mind came after Fury weighed in seven pounds heavier than Bamba.

Instead Fury took on late-replacement Rolly Lambert – and fans were far from impressed with the quality of fighting.

Six dreadful, uneventful rounds of two minutes each followed where the two fighters barely laid a glove on each other.

The late opponent change meant the fight went from being a professional to an exhibition bout, which took away incentive for either fighter to risk too much.

And it means both Fury and Lambert largely coasted their way through the contest, aiming jabs which lacked power.

By the fourth round the crowd were booing in frustration at the lack of a fight.

But the jeering seemed to make no difference to either fighter who saw out the six rounds without major incident.

It was after the bout that Fury became involved in a tastier fight.

The former Love Island star exchanged words with Jake Paul, who had joined commentary ringside.

Fury called Paul a “b****” after the fight but Paul had already dished out his own insults over commentary, being heard to say “you f***ing suck Tommy.”

He added: “You are a f***ing amateur, this is embarrassing. You have no d***! You have no d***.”

And at one point Paul stopped speaking, leading to the commentator beside him to claim the boxer had fallen asleep from boredom.

Fury has been scheduled to fight Paul on two occasions but both times plans fell apart.

It was an all-round ill-tempered night outside the ring with a topless John Fury later confronting Paul over his behaviour towards his son.
