Ryan Garcia vs Javier Fortuna: Date, UK start time, live stream, TV channel, and undercard for lightweight clash


After a long wait, it is finally time for the fight between Ryan Garcia and Javier Fortuna a year after it was originally meant to take place.

The fight was originally meant to take place last July but Garcia pulled out to address his mental health. He was then meant to fight in November 2021 but didn’t after a wrist injury that required surgery.

Garcia beat Emmanuel Tagoe on his return after pulling out of two fights. He was also ringside in Brooklyn to call out Gervonta Davis as he wants to fight Davis after this fight.

Garcia has to fight Fortuna first who will be his hardest fight yet.

Fortuna beat Luke Campbell via TKO in round seven in January 2021. This makes it clear that Garcia will be up against another world-class opponent.

Fortuna in is coming off a clear decision defeat to Diaz in July but did bounce back in February with a first-round knockout. Fortuna will now get to fight the fight he has waited almost a year for.

“If there is any doubt i was hesitnat to fight Fortuna a year ago, that will all be made clear after our fight,” Garcia said.

“This was the fight I wanted and its now time.”
