The Bray native produced an amazing performance to secure a split decision victory and maintain her undisputed world title crown.

The 2012 Olympic gold medal hero was rocked by some big shots in the historic bout and came close to being knocked down in the 5th round.

But she rallied back to outbox Serrano in the closing rounds and come away with the points win.

Afterwards as she celebrated in the ring Taylor showed the scars from a brutal battle which was the first time two women have headlined Madison Square Garden.

But just a week later those looked to have healed up as she smiled at ringside in Las Vegas.

Taylor was there to watch Saul Canelo Alvarez suffer a surprise defeat to Dmitry Bivol.

She also bumped into Ireland international James McClean who shared a photo with Taylor on his Instagram story.

The footie ace was stateside celebrating with his Wigan Athletic team mates after earning promotion to the Championship this season.

Taylor is hoping for a rematch against Serrano and a blockbuster showdown at Croke Park could be on the cards.

Taylor has not fought in Ireland since she turned professional in 2012 and her team are hopeful of a homecoming fight.

Talks have begun about hosting the mega-fight at GAA HQ in October and Taylor believes it could bring the big crowds in as it’s an easy sell.

She said: “I would absolutely love to fight in Ireland.

“A big fight in Croke Park with 80,000 people – that would probably be the only thing that could top what happened last week.

“Imagine filling 80,000 seats  – that would be very, very special. It would be easy to sell as well I think.

“A re-match would be brilliant. I’m up for any challenge, I want to fight the best out there.”
