An injured rib last December and US visa issues this August saw the 2019 Love Islander pulled out of the pay-per-view paydays.

But it was Paul and his promotional partners who were left footing the bill of the axed events.

So the American will leave it to Fury and his team to finance another go at rescheduling, even if his own family have urged him to walk away.

Paul, 25, said: “I’m tired of them wasting our money, so if Tommy pulls out again it’s their money. I dunno, I’m still sceptical about it.

“My brother tells me everyday, and my dad calls me every day damn near and say, ‘Don’t give this f***er another chance.

“So I dunno, we might not.”

Fury’s hopes of negotiating again were dashed after Paul agreed to face UFC legend Anderson Silva, 47, this coming weekend in Arizona.

Paul last fought in December, knocking out Tyron Woodley, 40, four months after beating the ex-UFC champion on points.

That added to KOs over online rival AnEsonGib, ex-NBA star Nate Robinson and retired UFC welterweight Ben Askren.

Woodley filled in on under two weeks’ notice after Fury, 23, suffered his rib injury in training.

The celeb mega-fight was rescheduled for August in New York – but that was soon KOd when Fury suffered US visa issues.

Heavyweight Hasim Rahman Jr, 31, initially signed as a substitute, only for lightening to strike twice, this time due to a weight disagreement.

It has set the scene for Paul to return in the biggest test of his career against Silva, who last year beat ex-world champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr, 36.

He said: “I know this is my toughest test, it’s not going to be easy.

“I’m going to have to outbox the boxer, who just beat a world champion in the sport of boxing.

“It’s motivating but I have that chip on my shoulder and I’ve carried that into my whole entire camp.”
