TYSON FURY’S former rival Otto Wallin wants to fight Anthony Joshua this year after the Brit’s loss to Oleksandr Usyk on Saturday.
AJ failed to get the better of Usyk over the course of 12 rounds which the Ukrainian won with a split decision.
And Swedish slugger Wallin – who took on Fury in 2019 – feels it makes sense for AJ to face him in December.
Fury just about managed to see Wallin off after 12 rounds by a unanimous decision following their blood fest in Las Vegas.
And Wallin, 31, reckons the British public knows he’s got the credentials to take on Joshua, who he views as the ideal route to a rematch with the Gypsy King.
However, AJ previously took on Wallin twice as an amateur – and won both times.

Wallin told OLBG, via boxing scene: “I think it makes a lot of sense for me and Joshua to fight each other.
“People in the UK know me for giving Fury one of his toughest fights in his career and I get a lot of support from over there.
“I’m always training and trying to get better and I can’t wait to go over to the UK and earn my right for another shot at Fury by beating Anthony Joshua.”
But Wallin will have to wait in line to get a pop at Fury.

Joshua’s conqueror Usyk wants to tempt the Gyspy King out of retirement before Wallin can get a look in.
Usyk wasted no time letting his intentions be known and immediately called out Fury after he defeated AJ in Saudi Arabia.
The Ukrainian hero even declared he’ll hang up his gloves if Fury doesn’t accept his offer.
But Fury is ready to take on Usyk and become the undisputed world heavyweight champ – if there’s £125million on the table.
