Fans claim Daniel Dubois fight is ‘fixed’ as first round ends 12 seconds early after he is knocked down THREE times


BOXING fans believe the fight between Daniel Dubois and Kevin Lerena was fixed after the first round ended 12 seconds early.

That is after Dubois, who was defending his WBA regular title for the first time, was knocked down three times by Lerena at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

DDD was on his knees and looked to have injured his ankle before referee Howard Foster signalled the end of the first round earlier than he should have.

Fans swarmed social media after those incredible scenes and some claim the whole match is fixed.

One tweeted: “Am I the only one that seen the bell ring 12 seconds early on the 1st round of the Dubois fight?! This is rigged AF.”

Another commented: “Ring the bell 10 seconds early in round one with Dubois on the floor, Boxing corruption knows no bounds.”

A third wrote: “Dubois They ring the bell 10 seconds early there?”

This fan said: “Rang the bell early in round 1 when Dubois was 1 punch away from being stopped. Most corrupt sport in the works.”

And this one tweeted: “They rang the bell 11 seconds early to stop Dubois being counted out. Boxing is so f*****g corrupt.”

Dubois then produced a major comeback to beat Lerena in the Tyson Fury vs Derek Chisora III undercard.

The British star had the South African on the ropes in round three and the referee halted the fight after a series of head shots.

Oleksandr Usyk is in attendance in London as he was keeping tabs on Dubois and will also be watching the main event between Fury and Chisora.
