TOTTENHAM thought they could finally get their season underway again in a clash against Leicester this evening.
But the game has been postponed, Spurs’ FOURTH game to be halted in just three weeks.

Spurs previously had two Premier League games called off, as their clash with Burnley was called off due to bad weather, before a Covid-19 outbreak at the club halted their game with Brighton.
They also had a Europa Conference League clash with Rennes postponed.
And the situation gets worse for Antonio Conte’s side as they now have to squeeze a third game into their schedule later on in the season.
When was Leicester vs Tottenham scheduled for?
- Tottenham’s clash with Leicester was supposed to get going from 7.30pm UK time on Thursday, December 16 – TONIGHT.
Why has Leicester vs Tottenham been postponed?
- Unfortunately, the game has been called off due to a Covid-19 outbreak in the Leicester squad.
- The game was set to go ahead but after the Premier League were informed the Foxes had up to 13 cases, it was called off.
- The game isn’t the first this week to be postponed, as both Brentford vs Man Utd and Burnley vs Watford couldn’t go ahead due to Covid outbreaks.
- Chelsea have also been hit with three Covid cases, but they’re clash with Everton is set to go ahead tonight.
When will Leicester vs Tottenham be rescheduled for?
It’s not yet been made clear when the game will be rescheduled for, but this is the fourth game in all competitions that Spurs have to find space for later in the season.
