Laborde is in his third season with Montpellier and has scored 20 goals in 75 games.
However, he has made just four appearances this term.
And West Ham are ready to take advantage of his lack of minutes by fielding an offer shortly.
Montpellier are equally happy to do business with the Hammers, who are fourth in the table after a stunning season.
But they have warned Moyes that an official offer must be submitted by tomorrow at the latest.
Laborde is the latest striker to be linked with West Ham as they search for more firepower.
Edin Dzeko is thought to be on Moyes’ radar after being banished from the first team at Roma.
Meanwhile, Celtic’s Odsonne Edouard is also of interest but he wants to wait until the summer before deciding on a move.

There could be more arrivals at the London Stadium before deadline day too.
Manchester United midfielder Jesse Lingard is a loan target.
And West Ham are set to make Said Benrahma’s loan from Brentford permanent six months ahead of schedule in order to free up a place for Lingard.
Likewise, Watford have offered West Ham the chance to do the same with Craig Dawson’s loan following his good recent performances.
