THOMAS TUCHEL certainly wasn’t in Madrid to make any friends after appearing to snub Thibaut Courtois’ handshake.
Cameras picked up the moment the player and manager crossed paths at the full-time whistle of Chelsea’s 1-1 draw with Real Madrid.
Courtois, 28, is seen holding out his hand ready to greet the German boss.
But Tuchel didn’t entertain his offer and instead walked straight past him and Eden Hazard in order to chat with Antonio Rudiger.
Courtois then lightly slaps the arm of Tuchel in an attempt to save any awkwardness.
Tuchel’s actions only endeared himself even more to Chelsea fans after the acrimonious fallout between player and club in 2018.
With speculation that Real Madrid were looking to sign the stopper, Courtois forced his way out of Stamford Bridge.
Courtois’ family were living in the Spanish capital at the time and the player failed to report for pre-season training for two days.
His agent then declared the player’s wish was to sign for Los Blancos after winning four major pieces of silverware at Chelsea.
Enjoying watching Courtois get snubbed, one Blues fan said: “Tuchel doesn’t want to shake hands with a snake.”
Another fan added: “This is how all Chelsea fans should feel.”
A third added: “How will he hold hands with a snake?”
