KYLIAN MBAPPE produced blistering speed to score for Paris Saint-Germain on Sunday.
In France’s Le Classique derby away to Marseille, the 22-year-old hit the opening goal from a stunning counter-attack.
In the eighth minute, a Marseille corner was cleared at the near-post and Marco Verratti combined with Mauro Icardi to set off the counter.
Mbappe had already set about down the left flank at speed before the ball came his way.
Angel Di Maria carried the attack towards goal and slipped in the striker on the overlap.
Already running at great pace, Mbappe incredibly found an extra gear and truly fired up the afterburners once he entered Marseille’s half.
Once the pass was played into the Frenchman, he left a desperate tackle for dead and buried his finish without breaking stride.
Effectively running from goal-line to goal-line, Mbappe covered the 90-plus yards in a mere 12 seconds.

Broadcaster Canal+ clocked his top speed at a ludicrous 22.4mph, or 36kmh.
Mbappe celebrated scoring on his 150th game for PSG with his trademark arms-folded pose.
The 2-0 win was sealed later in the first-half by a smart Icardi header, before Dmitri Payet was sent off for Marseille late on.
Mauricio Pochettino’s PSG remained third in the Ligue 1 table after the victory, three points off leaders Lille.
Mbappe promised to get ‘better and better’ after his goal, despite scoring four goals in his last four games.
He declared: “We started well. We were able to score very early in the game, it closed then, but we controlled the game afterwards.
