ESPN claim Bale’s team-mates are baffled by his limited chances under Jose Mourinho.
The squad have reportedly been impressed by how well he has performed at training.
But the 31-year-old has still failed to cement his spot in Mourinho’s starting line-up.
Bale returned to the North London club on a season-long loan from Madrid in September.
He has managed just 165 minutes of football in the Premier League so far this term.
Mourinho has insisted that Spurs have not yet decided whether to renew Bale’s loan deal.
He said: “There was not even a second of discussion about that.
“Gareth is a player who is on loan until the end of the season. There has not been one second of discussion.

“We are speaking about facts, Gareth himself, Real Madrid, Tottenham… but I promise you not one second of discussion.”
Real Madrid are reportedly prepared to offload the ex-Southampton star permanently.
But his huge salary of around £650,000-a-week could prove to be a major stumbling block.
