TOTTENHAM have asked Juventus about a shock summer swoop for Arsenal icon Aaron Ramsey, according to reports in Italy.
The Serie A giants are set to offload the £400,000-a-week star, 30, as part of a cost-cutting squad overhaul this summer.
Liverpool and Everton have already been linked with the Gunners icon, with the Reds viewing Ramsey as the perfect replacement for out-of-contract Georginio Wijnaldum.
But now Tottenham have emerged as shock suitors for the Welshman, according to Tuttomercato.
Ramsey quit Arsenal on a free transfer in the summer of 2019 but has struggled for form and fitness in Turin.
The former Cardiff midfielder has suffered 13 separate injury lay-offs in a little over 18 months at Juventus, scoring just SIX goals in all.
Juve were initially keen to pay Ramsey the big bucks having landed him for absolutely nothing after Arsenal dawdled in offering him a new deal.
However, the club have been hit hard by the coronavirus pandemic and are set to slash their overheads in the coming months, with Ramsey still having two years to run on his £400,000-a-week wages.
Juve are already considering the future of Cristiano Ronaldo – with his monster pay-packet meaning a future star such as Matthijs De Ligt may be sold this summer.
Ronaldo has been linked with a return to both Man Utd and Real Madrid with Juventus’ big gamble – going all in to win the Champions League – not paying off following another early exit in Europe.

Now Dybala is apparently on the transfer market – with Juve attempting a straight swap deal with SIX different clubs, including Manchester United and City.
But Ramsey moving to Tottenham would be a massive shock.
Ramsey spent 11 years in North London and was reduced to tears during his final game for the Gunners.
In all, the midfielder played over 250 games for Arsenal and even broke their nine-year trophy drought with the winning goal in the 2014 FA Cup final.
Ramsey have managed just 12 Serie A appearances this season, with Juventus ten points adrift of Inter Milan in their quest to make it ten league crowns in a row.
