Some of these options are more viable than others.

Jota’s form was virtually unmatched earlier in the season but the Portuguese forward is still recovering from a knee injury and will not be rushed back by Jurgen Klopp despite Liverpool’s minor blip.

Chelsea strikers Giroud and Abraham boast impressive returns but their lack of popularity is understandable since it’s difficult to know who will start for the Blues right now — Timo Werner (£4.2m) was given a go through the middle last weekend.

Nearly 80% of Pepe’s points have come in the Europa League and now the group stages are concluded and Arsenal won’t be playing the likes of Molde and Dundalk, it would be reasonable to expect the Ivorian winger to drop down the rankings.

However, with some strikers struggling for points in recent weeks, including Dominic Calvert-Lewin (£4.2m) and the aforementioned Werner, Bamford and Watkins represent tempting alternatives.

The former has ten league goals this season and will be supplied with frequent chances as long as Leeds remain loyal to Marcelo Bielsa’s attacking vision.

Crafty Foxes

Watkins has been unlucky in in terms of goals in recent weeks but his overall performances have been suitably impressive.

The ex-Brentford forward has established a healthy understanding with Jack Grealish (£4.5m).

Leicester’s midfield offerings come heavily recommended.

Both Maddison and Barnes have proved to be capable goalscorers in support of Jamie Vardy (£6.0m) as the Foxes chase a top four finish.

The pair have been top-notch differential players in 2020/21 and should continue to provide healthy returns if they remain fit.
