STOKE-born Ben Brereton was the Copa America hero for Chile as he bagged his first international goal.
The 22-year-old Blackburn striker scored the winner as Chile beat Bolivia 1-0 in Cuiaba on Friday night.
Brereton represented England at U19 and U20 level before switching to represent Chile.
His mother was born in the South American country, and he was called up to their squad in March for the World Cup qualifiers.
Brereton made his international debut in the 1-1 draw against Argentina on Monday in their Copa America opener.
And he bagged his first goal for his nation on Friday night, coolly slotting home in the 10th minute.
Brereton joined Blackburn from Nottingham Forest two years ago in a £7million deal.
He had seven goals and five assists in the Championship last season.
Speaking about his call-up to the Copa America squad last month, Brereton said: “It’s a real privilege, particularly for my mum’s side of the family.
“I’ve known for quite a while that they [Chile] were looking at me, but I just kept my head down and wanted to do well for Blackburn Rovers.

“Then just recently they’ve been in touch with me and my family, to let us know, and we’ve made the decision that we want to do it and give it my best shot.
“It’s a real honour, Chile are a great team to be a part of and my mum and my grandad, and all the family, are very proud.
“It’s really special for them. They were all in tears when they found out.”
Chile moved onto four points from their opening two games at Copa America.
Brereton and Co take on Uruguay next before closing out their group stage against Paraguay.
Four teams will advance from Group A to the quarter-finals.
