SHEFFIELD UNITED striker Oli McBurnie has received interest from Scottish champions Rangers, according to reports.
The 24-year-old has struggled since joining the Blades from Swansea for £20million two years ago.
In 65 appearances for the club he has only netted seven times, with just one of those coming in the 2020-21 campaign.
McBurnie’s drop off in form came at a time when Sheffield United desperately needed goals as they finished bottom of the Premier League table with just 23 points.
As a result of his poor displays, The Mail claim he is currently valued by Rangers at a reduced £15m.
This means the Blades will have to take a financial hit if they are to offload him before they begin their season back in the Championship.
McBurnie has missed out on being included in Scotland’s Euro 2020 squad after suffering a fractured metatarsal.
Sheffield United’s relegation and departure of long-time manager Chris Wilder means there could be a mass exodus in their squad this summer.
Arsenal have been linked with a move for Blades’ Norwegian midfielder Sander Berge.
Berge – who joined the Yorkshire outfit from Genk in January 2020 for a club record £22million fee – has been limited to just 15 Premier League appearances this season.

Surgery on his hamstring in December saw him ruled out of action until earlier this month when he made his comeback in the 4-0 defeat against Tottenham.
Despite his injury, a number of clubs have been linked with signing him, including Arsenal, who have reportedly had a £17.2m bid rejected.
And Berge has fuelled speculation that he could link up with Mikel Arteta’s side after posting a picture of him with Arsenal loanee Martin Odegaard on his Instagram story earlier this week.
