EUROPEAN giants Barcelona, Real Madrid, Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain all find themselves in Pot 2 in next season’s Champions League.
All of the clubs missed on top seeding following disastrous league campaign’s which saw them miss out on being handed a favourable group draw.
Pot 1 is made of eight teams which includes the winners of the top six ranked domestic leagues as well as the two champions from this term’s European competitions.
England’s Manchester City, France’s Lille, Germany’s Bayern Munich, Italy’s Inter Milan, Spain’s Atletico Madrid and Portugal’s Sporting Lisbon are in Pot 1.
Chelsea join them after their Champions League success, along with Villarreal after the Spanish outfit beat Manchester United in the Europa League final.
Barca, Real, Juve and PSG can thank themselves that they all flopped in their own league’s as all the clubs will avoid each other in the group stages.
The Blaugrana finished third in LaLiga behind runners-up Real, while big-spending PSG could only finished second to Lille in Ligue 1.
And the Bianconeri only secured Champions League football on the final day of Serie A as they sneaked into fourth at the expense of Napoli who drew to Hellas Verona.
Though there was some success for the likes of Barca, Juventus and Les Parisiens as they all won their domestic cup competition.
There is the possibility that all four clubs will enter the new term under a different manager following their poor league form.

Mauricio Pochettino could even leave France despite arriving in January with the Argentine said to be attracting interest from Tottenham and Los Blancos.
Ronald Koeman is also facing an uncertain future after just one year at the Nou Camp.
Spanish media have claimed that there is a ’99 per cent’ chance he will be dismissed after Barca failed to finish in the top two in LaLiga for the first time since 2008.
