Steven Davis’ overhead kick and Jonjoe Kenny’s own goal put the Premiership winners on course for victory, which they saw out.
Gers will now play St Johnstone in the last eight.

Rangers are through to the Scottish Cup quarter-finals after a dominant victory over rivals Celtic in the Old Firm Derby.
The Gers opened the scoring after just 10 minutes with a wonderful overhead kick by Steven Davis.
Steven Gerrard’s men doubled their lead on 34 minutes when Joe Aribo dribbled past Diego Laxalt and found Ryan Kent whose shot got deflected off of Joe Kenny, who registered an own goal.
Celtic had many opportunities to get back in the game with their biggest one occurring when Odsonne Edouard missed a penalty against Allan McGregor
