MANCHESTER UNITED interim boss Ralf Rangnick has reportedly informed Dean Henderson that he will NOT be allowed to leave on loan in January.
Henderson had been keen on a loan transfer in the New Year having made just two appearances so far for Manchester United this season.
But the 24-year-old will be blocked from an exit as Rangnick wants three first-team ready goalkeepers in his squad, according to MEN.
Should David De Gea be struck down by Covid-19 or injury the interim boss needs plenty of capable options to fill in between the sticks.
Henderson has been targeting showdown talks with Rangnick to address his lack of playing time.
Dutch giants Ajax reportedly expressed an interest to sign Henderson on loan in January, but are set to be rebuffed by United.
Elsewhere Tottenham are understood to be monitoring Henderson with club captain and No1 between the sticks Hugo Lloris entering the final six months of his contract.
Should the Frenchman move on in the summer Antonio Conte will need a replacement goalkeeper.

And MEN go on to claim that Spurs are keeping an eye on Henderson’s current situation, ahead of a potential bid at the end of the season.
Henderson had been primed to start the campaign as first-choice at Old Trafford, but contracted Covid-19 during preseason.
And after suffering from long-term effects it meant De Gea kept his place in goal.
The Spaniard has been back near his best this term with a number of crucial saves and has regained his status as the undisputed first-choice stopper.
Henderson made 26 appearances under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer last season and had been primed for a shot at the No1 jersey.
But chances have failed to materialise this campaign, leaving him frustrated over his amount of playing time.
His only starts have been the Carabao Cup clash against West Ham in September and the dead-rubber Champions League tie against Young Boys.
A loan move in January had been his preferred option, but now Rangnick is set to block that from happening, leaving Henderson in limbo.
