Man Utd’s Europa League last-32 away clash with Real Sociedad moved to Juventus’ Allianz Stadium due to Covid travel ban

MANCHESTER United’s Europa League tie with Real Sociedad next week will be played in Turin, Uefa have confirmed.

Spanish government restriction on travel from the UK mean the Basque side cannot host the last-32 first-leg tie.

It will instead be played at the Juventus Stadium on Thursday February 18, kicking off at 5.55pm.

United will still be able to play the second leg at Old Trafford a week later, with kick-off set for 8pm.

The game will be the club’s THIRD Europa League clash in a row to be played on neutral soil.

Last season, their one-legged quarter-final win over Copenhagen and semi-final defeat at the hands of eventual champions Sevilla were both hosted by Cologne due to Covid.

But the alternative is the National Stadium in the Polish capital Warsaw.

The Premier League duo face against German outfits Leipzig and Borussia Monchengladbach respectively.

Both games will be played at Budapest’s Puskas Arena.
