MANCHESTER UNITED summer target Jadon Sancho has admitted that grew up a Chelsea fan.
The Borussia Dortmund and England ace also revealed that he idolised Frank Lampard and Didier Drogba growing up.
Speaking to talkSPORT, Camberwell-born Sancho said: “I was a Chelsea fan growing up, I can’t lie.
“Didier Drogba and Frank Lampard were my favourite players at the time.
“I just love Frank Lampard and how he played his game; he was so direct and so composed on the ball.
“I like things like that.”
Sancho has been linked with a move back to England just four years after leaving Manchester City for Dortmund.
And Man Utd have watched on in awe as the 21-year-old England international dazzled in Germany.
Sancho has impressively scored 50 goals and provided 64 assists in 137 games for Dortmund, which has attracted interest from some of Europe’s biggest clubs.

After nearly two years of speculation linking him with a move to United, he said: “I’m cool about it.
“There’s always going to be speculation, especially when you do well.
“It’s just how you handle that on the pitch. You’ve got to keep doing what you’re doing; if you keep on doing that then I’m sure that won’t be a problem.
“The main thing is my football and that’s what I’m focusing on at the moment.”
Sancho is away on international duty with England for this summer’s Euros and he is well within manager Gareth Southgate’s plans.
England kick off their Euro 2020 campaign against Croatia on Saturday, and they will be looking to get revenge for 2018’s World Cup semi-final loss.
Man Utd, as well as a host of other clubs, will have to wait until after this summer’s tournament before making a move.
