BRANDON WILLIAMS bid a hasty retreat after accidentally revelling in the European Super League’s end with a post of Liverpool celebrations.
Fans were quick to point out that the Manchester United defender had focused his thanks on his club’s bitter rivals.
An Instagram post of Liverpool’s 2005 Champions League bus parade went online to his one million followers on Tuesday night.
It was captioned: “To you all 👏🏼 Everyone is equal⚽️.”
It did not take long for 20-year-old Williams to swap out the picture for one of his own fans.
And an image of United fans cheering on the streets was put up with a similar caption, which now emphasised that ‘we are ALL equal’.
An Instagram follower of Williams’ wrote: “That’s the right pic👏❤️.”
One Reds fan added: “Brandon Williams sharing Liverpool’s parade will never not be funny.”
While a United supporter commented: “How’s Brandon Williams accidentally gone and posted the Liverpool bus for his IG post.”
And another onlooker joked: “Context: Brandon Williams is a Liverpool fan and his idol is Neco Williams.”

Both clubs quit the project late on Tuesday following pressure from supporters, players and senior football figures.
In total, six Premier League clubs had signed up to the controversial plot but all left within 48 hours of it being announced.
Following further exits from Inter Milan and Atletico Madrid on Wednesday, project chief and Juventus chairman Andrea Agnelli confirmed the ESL had been binned.
