GLAZER VOWS MAN UTD WILL SPLASH OUT
Manchester United owner Joel Glazer has promised supporters Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be backed in the transfer window.
The 50-year-old made his first Fan’s Forum appearance in 15 years on Friday where he outlined his vision for the future of the Red Devils.
United supporters have longed for Glazer and his family to sell their stake in the club, and their anger towards the American’s reached boiling point over their intentions to join the European Super League.
Furious supporters stormed inside Old Trafford in protest against the Glazers last month, which forced the clash against Liverpool to be rescheduled.
And in an attempt to appease the United fanbase, Joel Glazer has vowed to splash the cash in the summer, as well as creating a Fan Advisory Board and a Fan Share Scheme.
He said: “Our goal is to win every competition we compete in, and we will continue to invest in our Academy and in the transfer market to support the manager in an effort to meet the club’s goals.
“As a club we have devoted a lot of time and resources over the last several years updating and further developing our vast global scouting network to adapt to the modern football environment.
“This is a project that should provide a foundation for long-term success in the years to come.
“In addition, as you all know, we have also been focused on growing and developing our women’s team in line with the traditions and values of the club, and we are committed to continuing that process.”

“I think it is between Manchester City, Manchester United and maybe PSG.
“They have [Mauricio] Pochettino and he would win things, guaranteed.
“I think it is more likely that one of the Manchester clubs can afford him outside of Chelsea. I don’t think he would go to Chelsea and do that to the Tottenham fans but who knows?”
TARGET MAN
Manchester United are hopeful of finally signing Jadon Sancho this summer, reports say.
The Red Devils are ‘pressing ahead’ with a deal for the 21-year-old Dortmund rising star.
The Athletic report that talks are underway again between United and the German side.
And the Old Trafford side hope they can sign him for less than the £108million asking price last summer.
The Red Devils were desperate to land Sancho last summer. But Dortmund’s previous asking price proved to be more than United were willing to pay.
Bundesliga side Dortmund are reportedly holding out for £80m plus another £20m in add-ons.

‘STATEMENT SIGNING’
Manchester United hero Gary Pallister has urged the club to sign Harry Kane.
The Tottenham striker is considering his future amid links to the Red Devils, Manchester City and Chelsea.
And ex-defender Pallister told Metro: “What a statement it would be if Manchester United were able to get hold of Kane.

GOOD MORNING UNITED FANS
Manchester United are reportedly still firmly in the hunt for Fiorentina centre-back Nikola Milenkovic.
Milenkovic’s current deal with Fiorentina is due to expire next June and it does not appear he will be penning an extension, making a summer exit likely.

Elsewhere on the transfer front, United have fallen behind Liverpool in the race for Raphinha, according to journalist Gianluigi Longari.

His performances have attracted the attention of some of the league’s top teams, including Manchester City.
Leeds are not ready to part ways with their star man and with a number of clubs in the fray, the deal is far from straightforward.
However, the Red Devils are reportedly prepared to offer a massive sum of €80 million [£68.8million] in order to sign Saul Niguez from Atletico Madrid in the summer transfer window.

A centre-back, defensive-midfielder and right-winger are the priority targets for United, but it’s understood that competition at right-back for Aaron Wan-Bissaka is also on the agenda.
‘CLEVER FOOTBALLER’
Sven Goran Eriksson believes that Jesse Lingard should have been included in the 26-man England squad for the upcoming European Championships.
The 28-year-old has undergone a tremendous career turnaround since joining West Ham United on loan from Manchester United in January.
ingard was included in Gareth Southgate’s preliminary squad for the Euros but was cut when the final list was announced.
Eriksson was shocked at Lingard’s omission, with the former England manager questioning current boss Gareth Southgate’s decision.
He told talkSPORT: “It’s a surprise that Lingard’s not there because even to have him on the bench with his pace and one-on-one ability, he’s a clever footballer.
“He had a good season with West Ham. I didn’t see him play every game, but the games I saw he has been very good.
“It’s always difficult. In the end, you can only pick the number [of players] that you’re allowed to pick. Someone will be disappointed – it’s always like that.”
TELL ALL
Manchester United outcast Alex Telles has opened up on his relationship with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer amid exit talks.
Telles endured a tricky start to life in Manchester after he tested positive for coronavirus early on, which forced him to sit out two league games due to self-isolation rules.
The full-back has made just nine appearances in the Premier League as a result of failing to dislodge Luke Shaw from the starting eleven.
The Brazilian told United’s official club website: “Yes, I believe I’ve made the most of this season, I’ve learnt a great deal, I learnt a lot of things, I’ve developed as a player and a person as well.”
He discussed next season with optimism, claiming: “I’m really happy with my first season at United and I’m sure that next season will be even better.
“I think I always took the opportunity to do my best whenever I was on the pitch. I had good games, with the adaptation process the first season isn’t easy.
“But I believe that when Ole gave me the opportunity and placed his trust in me and put me on the pitch, I did my best.
“I’m sure that I’ll continue doing even better to spend more time on the pitch and get a lot more minutes.”
NIK HIM AWAY?
Manchester United are reportedly still firmly in the hunt for Fiorentina centre-back Nikola Milenkovic.
Milenkovic’s current deal with Fiorentina is due to expire next June, though, and it does not appear that he will be penning an extension, making a summer exit likely.
Man United’s interest in the Serbia international had thought to have cooled, but according to La Nazione, the Red Devils are still keen on a deal for the defender.
The report claims that AC Milan are also keeping a close eye on developments, while West Ham United could also reportedly compete for his signature during this summer’s transfer window.
