MANCHESTER UNITED fans plan to step up their protest against the Glazer ownership by boycotting the club’s sponsors.
Furious supporters made their feelings known around Old Trafford on Sunday – forcing the clash with Liverpool to be postponed.
But they have vowed to continue their fight to force the American family to sell their club after 16 years at the helm.
Now a group have fans have drafted a letter which will be sent out to all the club’s commercial sponsors – urging them to end their backing.
Under the banner #notapennymore, it reads: “Supporting the Glazers is an attack on Manchester United Football Club.
“To that end, Manchester United fans will boycott your products, seek to tarnish your brands and support your competitors until you terminate your commercial partnership with the Glazer family.
“United fans have sought every possible avenue since the takeover to improve the situation.
“From peaceful protesting and open letters, to fan-led share purchase initiatives and consortium bids – the Glazers have ignored every attempt.
“Even after promising to ‘rebuild trust with fans’ Joel Glazer declined to participate in a Fans Forum last week.
“Desperate, we have been left with no other alternative but to attack what the Glazer family are reliant on: commercial revenue and brand reputation.”

The club has lucrative sponsorship and commercial deals with Adidas – worth £75million every season – Aon, Cadbury and many others.
Their shirt sponsorship deal with American car manufacturer Chevrolet will expire in December, with a new deal with tech firm TeamViewer agreed last month.
That deal is said to be worth a total £235m.
The fans’ statement continued: “The global Manchester United fanbase is passionate but loyal.
“Were sponsors to realise that partnering with the failed Glazer ownership undermines ‘brand infinity’ and ‘association with success’ and were to leave, then we’re sure United fans would once again embrace these companies.
“For standing up for the values of the football club that the last few weeks have shown owners like the Glazer family do not hold.
“Until then, if you are complicit with the Glazers, you are complicit in the attack of Manchester United Football Club as well as the attempted murder of English football.”
