MANCHESTER UNITED chief executive Ed Woodward is back at the top of Premier League’s highest-paid directors.
Accounts posted at Companies House show the 49-year-old earned a whopping £3.09million last season.

He lost top spot to Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy in the 2018-19 season after he raked in a staggering £7m.
The Times report that figure included a generous £3m bonus after Spurs moved into their new stadium.
Levy’s earning dipped to £2.96m last season, slightly below that of Woodward.
The main reason for the drop was because Levy took a 20 per cent pay cut for two months at the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic.
Woodward’s latest salary is a tiny drop of the previous year where he earned £3.16m.
He has come under criticism from a section of supporters for decisons made behind the scenes including managerial appointments.
The latest figures also show that the overall payment made to Woodward and the 11 other club directors, including Sir Alex Ferguson, totalled £6.8m.
That is despite club debts rising dramatically following the coronavirus.

Last year it was revealed United’s debt rose from £127.4m to £429.1m.
The Red Devils put it down to a loss in broadcasting revenue after football was suspended.
Playing in front of an empty Old Trafford since March has cost United around £6m in revenue from each home game without fans.
And their failure in this season’s Champions League, where they were knocked out in the group stage, is set to leave a £50m financial black hole.
