Man City and Leeds on Nicolas Tagliafico red alert with Ajax willing to sell left-back for just £13m transfer


AJAX could reportedly sell Leeds and Manchester City target Nicolas Tagliafico for just £13million.

The Argentina left-back, 28, also linked to Inter Milan and Atletico Madrid, has admitted he wants to play in one of Europe’s top leagues.

And the Mail say Ajax would be willing to let him go this summer after he stayed loyal to the Dutch champions in the past few transfer windows

Etihad boss Pep Guardiola has had problems at left-back despite City closing on a possible Treble.

And AS claim Guardiola considered Tagliafico in pre-season.

But in the end Oleksandr Zinchenko decided to stay at the Etihad.

Benjamin Mendy, though, has been beset by injury problems.

Meanwhile, Leeds manager Marcelo Bielsa has reportedly made the position one of three roles he particularly wants to strengthen.

Bielsa is thought keen to recruit at least one new midfielder and a proven goalscorer.

Ex-Independiente star Tagliafico has 28 caps and an Ajax contract running until 2023.

But it has been suggested the Dutch giants are prepared to slice more than  £4m off the original asking price of about £17.5m.

Ajax team-mate Ryan Gravenberch, 18 is reportedly being monitored by Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool.
