The Eagles took the lead early on through Zaha who slotted his effort into the bottom left corner after being played through by Conor Gallagher.
Things got worse for City in first-half stoppage time after Aymeric Laporte was sent off for hauling down Zaha as he raced clear on goal.
And home fans were left furious after Gabriel Jesus’ equaliser in the second half was overturned by VAR due to Phil Foden being offside in the build-up.
Gallagher then wrapped up the three points late on after smashing his effort into the top corner following a lethal counter-attack.
