Ashley Barnes scored a late penalty as Burnley won 1-0 to stun the Premier League champions.

    Ashley Barnes’ spot kick earned the Clarets all three points to heap more misery on Jurgen Klopp and his side.

    Next up for the Reds is a huge FA Cup fourth round tie against Manchester United, before a mammoth away game at Spurs a week today.

    Burnley meanwhile travel to Fulham on Sunday for their FA Cup tie, before hosting Aston Villa on Wednesday night in the league.

    There wasn’t a huge amount of contact but as soon as Alisson committed himself he was in trouble.
