PATRICK BAMFORD’S impressive form in the Premier League is expected to be rewarded with a lucrative new deal at Leeds.
The striker, 27, has proven he can cut it in the top flight by scoring nine goals so far this season for Marcelo Bielsa’s side.

But Bamford only has 18 months left on his current contract at Elland Road, leaving club bosses fearing rival clubs could make their move.
So Leeds are planning to sit down shortly with Bamford’s advisors in a bid to thrash out a long-term agreement.
As part of the deal, Bamford would see his form in the Premier League recognised with improved terms.
The former Chelsea man currently earns around £35,000 per week at Elland Road.
Bamford has scored ten goals in 17 Premier League games this season in a real purple patch.
He spent five years on the books of Chelsea, loaned out to MK Dons, Middlesbrough, Norwich, Derby, Crystal Palace and Burnley.
The forward was finally sold in January 2017, joining Boro permanently – scoring 11 games in his first full season at the Championship club.
His solid form during his 18-month stay at the Riverside saw him join Leeds in the summer of 2018.

Since then, Bamford has been on the rampage, scoring 15 times during Leeds’ promotion campaign last season.
But he’s been even more lethal in the top flight, averaging nearly 0.6 goals per game.
Most-notably, Bamford scored a hat-trick as Leeds thumped high-flying Aston Villa 3-0 away.
Amongst his goals, Bamford has also scored against champions Liverpool and former club Chelsea this term.
