THIAGO SILVA’s stunning performance for Chelsea against Tottenham had John Terry wanting to get in on the action too.
The 36-year-old veteran put in a stellar shift in the heart of the defence and managed to get on the score-sheet during the Blues 3-0 win over Spurs.
And Terry, 40, wished he was right next to the Brazilian bossing the game as he did in his heyday.
After his MOTM display, which helped catapult the Blues to the top of the Premier League table, Silva took to Twitter to thank the club.
Terry, was one of the first to respond, full of praise for Silva while also revealing it would be a dream to play with him.
Terry gushed: “@thiagosilva What a player, I wish I had the pleasure to play alongside you mate. LEGEND.”
Silva was in Terry-esque form during the Spurs game, putting his body on the line to help the Blues keep a clean sheet.
His rare headed goal which gave Chelsea the lead also made Silva the club’s second-oldest Premier League goal scorer.

The only player ahead of the ex-Paris Saint-Germain star is Didier Drogba who holds the club record aged 37.
It’s not the first time Terry has shown his admiration for Silva.
Silva handed the Blues legend his shirt after Aston Villa, who Terry was coaching at the time, beat the West London club 2-1 last season.
Terry was grateful for Silva’s humble gesture and thanked him on Twitter.
He posted a picture of the Brazil international’s shirt and captioned it: “What a player this man is. Great to see you mate. Legend.”
Chelsea legend Terry made 717 appearances for the Blues, and won the Premier League title five times, and the Champions League in 2012.
