JAMIE CARRAGHER could not resist a dig at pal Gary Neville after he picked his ideal Manchester United starting XI.
Carra mocked his fellow Sky Sports pundit for a United line-up that leaves out £73 million signing Jadon Sancho and has Paul Pogba playing through the middle.
Neville also claimed Cristiano Ronaldo would be best used on the left of a front three with Edinson Cavani and Mason Greenwood.
It was all too much for Liverpool legend Carragher, who jokingly likened his mate to the experimental Ossie Ardiles.
He tweeted: “So is Pogba not a left winger anymore @GNev? The right winger you said the club were desperate for doesn’t play & you’ve got Ronaldo wide. Ossie Ardiles wouldn’t pick that team.”
Neville was quick to respond and defended his questionable selection as just a bit of fun.
He replied: “Just having fun with the fans James.”

Those fans soon chimed in on the debate and showed the differences in opinion over who United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer should play where.
User ‘KishoreKomaar’ stuck up for Neville and tweeted: “Ronaldo still plays his best at LW. Watch more football. He needs a striker to feed off.”
‘Abuqasim124’ was on Carra’s side and said: “Didn’t he say that Ronaldo was a box player? and where’s Rashford??”
‘Rizal27hamsik’ added: “McT and Pogba to protect that back 4 on a counter. Good luck with that.”
And ‘SparkysArt’ was ready to grab the popcorn ahead of Neville and Carragher appearing on Sky Sports. He tweeted: “Monday night football is going to be fun!”
