How Man Utd could line up with Camavinga, Sancho and Varane as Old Trafford transfer spending spree hits top gear

MANCHESTER UNITED could have a new-look starting XI next season with £125million of new talent.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side finished second in the Premier League last term and lost the Europa League final on penalties.

But the Red Devils are already bolstering their squad in the transfer market.

A £73m deal to sign Jadon Sancho has been agreed with Borussia Dortmund.

He will complete a medical and sign his £350,000-a-week, five-year contract after England’s Euro 2020 involvement ends.

United have been chasing a winger for the last few transfer windows and look set to add their No1 target straight into the starting XI.

That is likely to see Sancho, 21, deployed on the wide right – often Mason Greenwood’s spot – with Marcus Rashford on the opposite flank.

Bruno Fernandes should complete the attacking trio as the No10 in support of Edinson Cavani up top – although Solskjaer also has the likes of Anthony Martial and Dan James to call upon as well as a group of youngsters led by Amad Diallo.

United are also chasing Eduardo Camavinga from Rennes.

Reports suggest the two clubs are in negotiations with the 18-year-old sensation available for just £26m due to his contract expiring next summer.

Should United beat off Arsenal, Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid to the teenager’s signature this summer, Camavinga may well line up with Paul Pogba as a midfield pair.

That would see Scott McTominay, Fred and Nemanja Matic fighting for spots on the bench.

And Raphael Varane could join his international team-mate Camavinga at Old Trafford next season.

Like the teenager, Varane’s contract expires next year and United are keen to pounce for £50m with initial talks already underway.

Varane, 28, would be the long-term solution to partner Harry Maguire in the centre of defence between Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Luke Shaw with Victor Lindelof, Eric Bailly and Axel Tuanzebe failing to convince.

Goalkeepers David De Gea and Dean Henderson look on course to battle it out between the sticks once again.
