GONZALO HIGUAIN has revealed the secret to winning over Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi having playing with both down the years.
No player has starred alongside the two GOAT rivals as many times as the Argentine striker.
Higuain, 32, spent time with Ronaldo at both Real Madrid and Juventus.
And the now-Inter Miami striker spent a decade with Messi, 33, in the Argentina national team, playing together at THREE World Cups.
And now Higuain has opened up about how he managed to get on the right side of both Ronaldo, 36, and Messi during his illustrious career.
Higuain told La Nacion: “If I am the footballer who has played most with the two, then I was the guy who best understood both of them.
“To understand Cristiano and Messi… it’s not their problem, it’s up to you.
“If I played the most with them, it’s because I understand them both perfectly.
“I knew what they liked, what they didn’t like, how they felt most comfortable and most uncomfortable.”
Higuain explained: “I think that what they liked about me was that – without sounding boastful – I didn’t try to fight for 100 per cent of the play with them.

“So they felt they could also depend on me.
“When they have a player on their side who depends on them 100 per cent, they don’t feel they are free of all responsibility.
“But with me, I think they felt they could count on me.
“They are two totally different players and I had the privilege of enjoying and learning from both.”
And Higuain could yet have the chance to play alongside Messi and Ronaldo again after Inter Miami owner David Beckham revealed he was hoping to sign them.
Beckham told ESPN: “When we announced Miami, there was always going to be talk about what players we were going to bring in, whether it was Ronaldo, Messi, Neymar.
“There was always going to be those discussions. I actually don’t think it’s a tough one for players to decide, to be honest, because it’s a great place.
“Obviously, it’s a great city, I feel like we’ve got a great fan base, but I also understand there’s great talent in Miami and South Florida, and I think we have a real opportunity.
“Miami is a city that has that pull on players who have been playing in Europe that are big stars.”
