Gareth Bale has ‘no option’ to stay at Tottenham and will return to Real Madrid for final year of £650k-a-week deal

THERE’S NO chance that Gareth Bale will be playing for Tottenham next season his agent claims.

According to Jonathan Barnett, his client has no choice but to return to parent club Real Madrid this summer.

The Welsh wizard is in his final year of his £650,000-a-week deal and has to see that out before there’s any chance of a possible move.

But talking to The Daily Mail, Barnett said: “As I have said from the beginning, there is no option.

“Gareth has no agreements whatsoever. He is under contract to Real.”

The 31-year-old also confirmed that he has no plans to stay in North London next season.

After a difficult few years at the Bernabeu, he returned to ex-club Spurs on a season-long loan last season.

During his second spell at White Lane, Bale made 25 starts and scored 10 goals.

But the Welsh captain admitted he went back to Tottenham to get regular playing time in preparation of Euro 2020, then planned to return to Spain.

He said: “It’s no distraction for me coming into the Euros.

What every Tottenham player earns following Mourinho’s pay rant

“The main reason I came to Spurs this year was I wanted to play football first and foremost.

“But coming into the Euros I wanted to be match fit.

“The original plan was only to do a season at Spurs, then after the Euros, I’ll still have a year left at Real Madrid and my plan is to go back.

“That’s as far as I’ve planned to be honest.”

The winger’s international future has also come into question following Wales’ exit from the Euro’s.

After his side’s 4-0 thumping at the hands of Denmark in the group stages, he was asked if it was his final game in a Wales shirt.

The question evidently upset Bale who stormed off in a Piers Morgan-like strop with no response.

But later on, a calmer Bale stated his desire to play for Wales until the end of his career.

In an interview with Welsh TV channel S4C: “I want to continue to play.

“People ask stupid questions all the time, but obviously I love playing for Wales.

“I’ll play for Wales until the day that I stop playing football.”
