But Manchester United look to have been given a boost with the forward’s heart thought to be set on England.
According to Sky Germany, both Haaland and Dortmund would rather he left for the Premier League – rather than Bayern Munich.
The Norwegian kicked off the new season by slamming a hat-trick past Wehen Wiesbaden in the first round of Dortmund’s DFB-Pokal defence, taking his Dortmund tally to 60 goals in 60 games.
Reporter Jesco von Eichmann said: “Haaland seems to be very happy here.

“If Dortmund were to sell him, they would prefer not to sell him within the Bundesliga because they know how strong he is and how many goals he scores.
“If they have to lose him, they would prefer to lose him to the Premier League or LaLiga.
“I cannot imagine Bayern Munich signing Erling Haaland next summer because Erling Haaland is dreaming of the Premier League.
“I don’t think he will stay in Germany.”
Haaland’s £65million release clause can be activated next summer.
