ROMEO BECKHAM has followed in the footsteps of father David by signing his first professional football contract.
The 19-year-old has linked up with USL League One side Fort Lauderdale – the reserve team of Golden Balls’ Inter Miami.
Beckham has taken to Instagram to confirm his arrival at the American third-tier outfit, by writing “Footballer for @fortlauderdalecf” in his bio.
He even posted a snap of himself in his new club’s colours, along with the caption: “Follow your dreams.”
Spice Girls star mum Victoria Beckham was quick to comment, as she said: “We are so proud of you Romeo x.”
And according to Miami Total Futbol, Romeo could make his debut this weekend against Chattanooga Red Wolves SC.
The versatile player – capable of playing in both defence and attack – has been training with both Inter Miami and Fort Lauderdale in recent weeks.
Romeo, who celebrated his 19th birthday in Miami earlier this week, isn’t the only son of a Manchester United legend in Fort Lauderdale’s ranks.

Harvey Neville – son of ex-Red Devils full-back Phil and current boss of Inter Miami – joined in May.
The midfielder, 19, has featured in 14 league matches this term as Fort Lauderdale sit fourth in the table.
Commenting on his son’s move, Phil said at the time: “It was his decision to leave Manchester United and every move he’s made has been like that.
“He has taken some brave moves in his career, he came out to do some training and to see his dad and really enjoyed it.
“He impressed everybody but it is quite difficult (for me) because when he’s at the club he is just another player.
“So I have left a lot of the decision making on Harvey to other people at the club, Anthony Pulis (Inter Miami assistant coach) has taken a real interest in him.
“I am harder on Harvey than on any other player in the team but ultimately he has signed for the USL team and it’s a great opportunity for him.
“He’s so excited to be here and it is a new adventure for him.”
