DANNY DRINKWATER could miss his debut in Turkish football on Monday after suffering a freak swimming pool injury.
The midfielder has joined Istanbul club Kasimpasa on loan from Chelsea until the end of the season.

In preparations for Monday afternoon’s home game with Sivasspor, he picked up the injury – believed to be a muscle problem – during an official club session at the pool.
It will be a blow for Drinkwater, 30, if he misses the game as he is hoping to prove a point after a rotten few years in English football
A Premier League winner at Leicester, Drinkwater’s career has been a disaster since he moved to Chelsea for £35million in 2017.
He had unsuccessful loan stints at Burnley and Aston Villa and since leaving Leicester has made just 10 Premier League starts.
In recent times the ex-England international has been charged with drink driving, been beaten up outside a nightclub and headbutted former Villa team-mate Jota.
He was also sent off before Christmas for Chelsea’s under-23s after kicking out at Tottenham’s 16-year-old Alfie Devine.
And he recently hit back at a troll who asked him where his career ‘went wrong’.
Drinkwater has not played for Chelsea’s first team since August 2018.

He was linked with several moves away from Stamford Bridge last summer but none of them materialised, leaving him stranded in West London.
Former Manchester United man Drinkwater earns £110,000-a-week but revealed in September he was seeing a psychologist as money ‘doesn’t solve anything’.
Speaking to the Telegraph at the time, he said: “I know my Chelsea move hasn’t worked out how anybody would have wanted and I’ve made mistakes, but it’s not as simple as me just not playing football or picking up a wage.
“Money doesn’t solve anything. The pay cheque doesn’t really help at all, you don’t even think about money.
“There have been things that come above football that have not been as simple as I’d like.
“I’m not looking for sympathy, f*** me I don’t want that, but I suppose I’d just like people to understand it’s not all gravy when you earn so much money and that I do care.”
