JUVENTUS are ready to offer Cristiano Ronaldo a new blockbuster contract that will keep him at the club until he’s 38, according to reports.
Despite turning 36 on Friday, the Portuguese sensation has shown no signs of slowing down with 19 goals in 20 appearances in the Champions League and Serie A this season.
Italian press claim Juventus are ready to offer Ronaldo a one-year extension
Ronaldo’s current deal, worth a whopping £540,000-a-week, expires in the summer of 2022.
But Tutto Sport claim Juventus are preparing to keep him at the Old Lady for another year as they believe Ronaldo will still be a huge asset even at the age of 38.
The report adds that negotiations with his agent Jorge Mendes have not yet started but initial contact has been made.
Ronaldo’s winning desire is also still very much intact after he was notably frustrated after being subbed in the 2-1 Coppa Italia semi-final win over Inter Milan on Tuesday, despite scoring twice.
His new deal is also likely to ward off any transfer interest from Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain and Man United who have been linked with his signature.
Last year Ronaldo revealed how he has plans to keep playing until he’s 40 at the highest level.
When quizzed on how long he can keep going, he replied: “Much will depend on what I feel, on my motivation.
“Physically it will never be a problem.

“I am treating myself well and I think can play safely up to 40 years.
“The most important factor, honestly, will be more psychological – that will be the one that makes the difference.
“In any case, everything has a beginning and an end. I won’t last a lifetime but I still feel strong enough to continue winning.
“I will stop if I have no incentives.”
Ronaldo has scored 87 times in 112 appearances for Juventus since his blockbuster move from Real Madrid in 2018.
