MORE than 600 complaints of racist abuse against black England football stars are being investigated by police.
A third have been judged to be potentially criminal in nature.
More than half of those came from outside the UK, it can be revealed.
Ten men and a woman have so far been arrested for allegedly posting abuse about Bukayo Saka, Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho.
The stars all missed penalties in the July 11 Euros final against Italy.
Chief Constable Mark Roberts said: “There are people who believe they can hide behind a social media profile and get away with such abhorrent comments.
“They need to think again.”
He added: “Our investigation is continuing at pace and we are grateful for those who have taken time to report racist posts to us.
“A vast amount of work has gone in to identifying these eleven individuals.
“I would like to thank Facebook, Instagram and Twitter for responding to our requests promptly.”
He said police in other countries were alerted.
