Chelsea transfer target Robert Lewandowski hints at Bayern exit by admitting he is ‘curious to learn a new culture’

Thomas Tuchel will likely be hoping the Premier League and Champions League title appeals to Lewandowski

Lewandowski, 32, has been linked to Chelsea, Barcelona, and PSG, with the Blues reportedly making contact with the striker earlier this month.

And now Lewandowski has hinted at a potential move.

He told Canal+: “I remain open-minded. I feel very good at Bayern, the city is superb, it’s a great club.”

“I am always curious to learn a new language, a new culture. But whether it will be in football or after my career, even I don’t know.”

Lewandowski is still improving and hot off the back of an astonishing campaign in which he scored 41 Bundesliga goals.

He could be the perfect fit for Chelsea this summer, as Thomas Tuchel wants to add two or three players to his Champions League winning squad.

Tammy Abraham has been heavily linked with a transfer exit – West Ham, Newcastle and Aston Villa are all rumoured to be interested.

And fellow striker Olivier Giroud could also be next out of the door at Stamford Bridge, possibly to AC Milan.

That would create space for a striker like Lewandowski, who could be attracted to the Premier League, with Manchester City also a potential destination.

A report earlier this month hinted at a possible move to England due to Lewandowski’s desire to earn more money.

He last put pen to paper on a new contract at Bayern Munich in 2019, but now appears ready to try something new.
